Smart-Builder are the world leaders in software for designing frameless glass
structures such as Showers, Shopfronts and Balustrades. We have offices in
Auckland, New Zealand and London, United Kingdom, plus representation in the
North American market through our strong relationship with
C. R. Laurence Co.
To date our software has been used by more than a thousand businesses around
the world to successfully design more than a million structures.
Our story started 13
years ago with the development of revolutionary software
for designing and quoting frameless showers for
Euroglass Systems Ltd in
New Zealand. The goals were ambitious, to calculate glass sizes,
hardware and pricing precisely without limiting the software to a preset
number of templates. Such were the difficulties that a previous attempt
by a different software development company had failed.
Nonetheless the project more than achieved its goals, going live in
March 1996 and becoming an instant success.
Since then we have gone from strength to strength, continually improving
the Shower module while adding new modules
for designing Shopfronts, post based
Railings and most recently
Balustrades.
We have also developed Smart-Toolbox,
our sophisticated sales and debtor system,
to ensure we can provide a complete sales solution for glass merchants and
installers of all sizes.
Going forward we plan to continue to improve and expand our world leading
configurators. Already available in English and French, we will be adding
further translations to continue our push into new regions. We are also
constantly on the look-out for new design modules which we can
develop for our customers,
new or existing.

From the start Smart-Builder have always been very customer focussed.
We believe it is impossible to develop successful software in such a
technical field without communicating closely with the end users.
That means listening and understanding the customers day to day needs,
wants and wishes.
This emphasis on communication carries through to our support services.
In fact, any email sent to our dedicated support address is delivered to
everyone in the company, regardless of position, to ensure the quickest
possible response. Serious problems are rare but we aim for at minimum a
next business day fix for any that do occur. We also maintain a database
of requests for new functionality from our customers and those in greatest
demand are frequently implemented into our software as part of our policy
of continual improvement.
With offices in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, along with our key
partners in Australia and North America, we are able to provide support
